Traffic Engineering Assistant Engineer Position

Willdan Engineering is seeking highly motivated individuals for the Traffic Engineering department at our City of Industry office. Qualified applicants should be graduating in May 2020 or have recently graduated. Applicants must have a strong interest in traffic engineering and all that entails including design, planning, and operations. The candidate will be assisting traffic engineers and designers with every day activities including field work, data collection, CAD drafting and design, preparing plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E), assist with the preparation of traffic studies, and project estimating of traffic and transportation projects. Projects range from small traffic signal design, signing and striping projects, to multi-million dollar roadway projects. This is a full-time position and candidates should be available to work 40 hours a week.  Applicants still attending school will be hired on a part-time basis and should be available to work at least 16 to 20 hours a week until graduation. Qualifications

- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or ability to acquire degree in 6 months

- Engineering-in-Training (EIT) Certificate or ability to acquire EIT in 6 months

- Experience with AutoCAD and Synchro preferred

- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including MS Word and MS Excel
