Colby is a fourth-year general civil engineering student and is serving as this year’s CPP ASCE President. This will be her fourth year as an officer, having previously served as a First-Year Representative, Co-Outreach and Community Service Chair, and Vice President, Internal. She is also a previous officer of the California Water Environment Association - American Water Works Association (CWEA-AWWA), and an active member of Chi Epsilon Civil Engineering Honor Society and Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society. Colby is currently a civil engineering intern for Southern California Edison (SCE) and plans to pursue a career in structural engineering. When Colby is not working on anything related to school, work, or ASCE, she loves to dance, bake, and spend time with her loved ones.

Nicole is a fourth-year general civil engineering student and is serving as this year’s Vice President Internal. This will be her third year as an officer, previously serving as Treasurer and Co-Outreach and Community Service Chair. She is also an initiated member of Chi Epsilon Civil Engineering Honor Society and serves on the board of the Institute of Transportation Engineers as their Membership Chair. Nicole is interested in pursuing a career in transportation engineering and is currently a Civil Engineering Intern at WSP USA, as well as a Student Research Assistant at CSUSB’s Leonard Transportation Center. In her free time, Nicole enjoys watching movies, editing her college vlogs (Nicole Aquino on YouTube!), reading, cooking, and spending time with her loved ones. Maryn is a third-year general civil engineering student and is serving as this year’s Vice President, External. In years prior, she held the positions of First-Year Representative and Alumni Relations Chair on the CPP ASCE board. She is a previous officer of California Water Environment Association-American Water Works Association (CWEA-AWWA), a recently initiated member of the Chi Epsilon Honor Society, and the 2020-2021 Fundraising Chair for Cal PolyPomona Steel Bridge. Maryn is currently an Engineering Intern at City of San Dimas.Last summer,she’d also participated in Kimley-Horn’s virtual internship program as a Land Development Intern. Maryn has not chosen what specific sector she would like to pursue, however with her extensive involvement in various fields, she hopes to decide within the next year. When Maryn is not working or sleeping, she enjoys listening to podcasts, going on road trips, and hiking.

Casey is a fourth-year general civil engineering student and is serving as this year’s Treasurer. This will be her third and last year as an officer, previously serving as Secretary and Publicity Chair. She is also serving on board with Concrete Canoe as the Technical Paper/Presentation Captain. Casey is interested in pursuing a career in structural engineering and is currently a Civil Engineering Intern at KPFF Consulting Engineers. In her free time, Casey enjoys watching Netflix, going on food adventures, having photoshoots, spending time at Disneyland, and hanging out with her best friends and boyfriend. Andrew is a fourth-year general civil engineering student and is serving as this year’s Secretary. Although he has been a part of ASCE all four years, this will be his second year as an officer. He previously served as Co-Conference Chair and has really enjoyed his experience since then in developing through the organization. In addition to dedicating his time to ASCE, he has also served as Vice President Internal for the Student Alumni Association. Andrew is interested in pursuing a career in construction management and was previously a Field Engineer Intern for The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company. In his free time, Andrew enjoys going to the gym, running, spending time with family/friends, and eating.

Jakob is a fourth-year general civil engineering student and will be one of this year’s Alumni Relations Chairs. He has been a member and officer in ASCE for 2 years. Jakob became last year's first-year representative after transferring from his local community college to Cal Poly. Jakob is interested in all aspects of civil engineering, so he is still making up his mind on which specific sector to focus on. Jakob has previously interned at SWT Engineering and is now a current intern at Griffith Company. In his free time, Jakob loves to spend time outside, whether it be camping, exercising, or going to the beach.

Julian is a fifth-year General Civil Engineering student and will serve as one of this year’s Alumni Relations Chairs. He has been a member of ASCE for a year and this is his first year serving as an officer. He is also serving as the Corporate Relations Chair for Chi Epsilon National Honor Society. Julian is interested in pursuing a career in structural engineering and is currently interning with GlobalASR, a consulting firm for LAMetro. In his free time, Julian loves spending time with friends and family, playing piano for his church, and making Spotify playlists. He also loves the Lakers and hopes to be a season pass holder one day.

Giovanni is a fourth-year Environmental Civil Engineering student. He has been a member of ASCE for four years, but this is the first year he is serving as an officer. He is one of this year’s conference chairs. He is also serving on the board for the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) as their E-Council Representative. When he is not focusing on school, work, ITE, or ASCE he enjoys playing with his dog, taking pictures, creating art, going on road trips, and spending time with his family and friends. Giovanni is interested in pursuing a career in Transportation Engineering.

Alex is a fifth-year environmental civil engineering student and is serving as one of this year’s Conference Chairs. Alex has participated in several organizations on campus including the California Water Environment Association - American Water Works Association (CWEA-AWWA), Chi Epsilon Honor Society, and Engineers Without Borders. Alex also participates in organizations outside of Cal Poly Pomona and serves as the Young Professional Chair for CWEA’s Los Angeles Basis Sections (LABS) and actively assists in a non-profit organization: Water for People. Alex is currently a civil engineering intern for Civil Water Environmental (CWE) and plans to pursue a career in stormwater engineering. When Alex is not working on anything related to school, work, or external organization related, he loves to make music, watch “So Bad It’s Good” movies, explore new music, play Animal Crossing, and work out.

Sam is a fifth-year civil engineering student and is serving as one of this year's Events Chairs. This is his second year as an officer and previously served as the Community Service and Outreach Chair. In addition, he will also be serving as the Quality Control Captain for the Concrete Canoe competition team. Sam is focusing his upper-division studies in Construction Management and hopes to one day work in Project Management. In his free time outside of school and work, Sam enjoys traveling, attending music festivals, and trying new things. He is always down for an adventure! A fun fact about Sam is that he has never broken or sprained a bone.

Ashley is a sixth-year civil engineering student with an environmental option and is serving as this year’s Co-Events Chair. This will be her first year as an officer, having previous board experience serving as last year’s Corporate Relations Chair for Chi Epsilon Civil Engineering Honor Society, President of the Women’s Soccer Club, and a Maximizing Engineering Potential ambassador. She is also an active member of the California Water Environment Association - American Water Works Association (CWEA-AWWA), National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), and this year’s Vice-President for Chi Epsilon Civil Engineering Honor Society. Ashley is currently a project engineer for Oltmans Construction Company and plans to pursue a career in water wastewater engineering project management. When Ashley is not working on anything related to school, work, or ASCE, she loves to play piano or soccer, volunteering with her church’s community outreach events, and discovering new hiking trails.

Steven Nguyen is a third-year civil engineering student with an environmental option and is serving as this year’s Membership Chair. This will be his first year as an officer. He is new to ASCE and is looking forward to learning more and serving as an officer for this student chapter. This summer he will be a part of the ASCE OC Pathways Academy as a Student Scholar for the summer of 2020. Steven is interested in pursuing a career in either Transportation or Water Resources. On the weekends during the school year, he volunteers as a youth leader for his church's youth group. When he is not focusing on school, he just likes to kick it back and relax. He will either be watching shows on Netflix or listening to different types of podcasts or playlists. He is also a big outdoors person and likes to go camping once in a while.

Ana is a second-year civil engineering student and this will be her first year working as the Outreach and Community Service chair. She is currently an intern at the City of Corona Public Works working in Land Development. Previously, she was an intern for the City of San Bernardino Public Works. Her interests lie in structural and environmental engineering. In the long run, she plans on working towards a master's. Ana’s involvement with other organizations on campus includes Women in Engineering and Steel Bridge. In her free time, she enjoys singing, playing the ukulele, painting, sewing, running, and exploring with friends

Anndrea is a second-year civil engineering student and this will be her first year as an officer. She will be serving as one of the Outreach and Community Service Chairs. She is really looking forward to being an officer and being able to serve this student chapter. This past year she was a member of the Society of Women Engineers and volunteered at events, such as “Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day”. Outside of Cal Poly Pomona, she will be a part of the ASCE OC Pathways Academy as a student scholar for the summer of 2020. When she is not focusing on school, she enjoys playing with her dog, going to Disneyland, and spending time with friends. Her favorite thing to do with them is to try new and local places, such as farmer's markets or bakeries.

Jeri Robles is a second-year civil engineering student and this will be her first year as an officer serving as Publicity Chair. She is currently involved with the Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) Design-Build Team serving as Architect for the Reno competition. She will also be a part of the ASCE OC Pathways Academy as a student scholar for the summer of 2020. Jeri is interested in pursuing a career in Structure and/or Construction. In her free time, she loves to paint on canvas and shoes, listen to podcasts, and be active. She spends a lot of her time with her friends driving around and getting boba.

Matthew is a fourth-year civil engineering student and is very excited to be serving as this year’s Past-President. He has previously served as CPP ASCE Student Chapter President, Alumni Relations Chair, and Events Chair working to oversee many Student Chapter programs. In addition to our Student Chapter, Matthew serves as a National Student Ambassador and on the Student Presidential Group for the Society-Level ASCE. This past summer he interned at Kimley-Horn in DTLA working on their Developmental Services Team. On campus, Matthew serves as the Attorney General for Associated Students Inc. (ASI) and is involved with Chi Epsilon (XE), and the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE). Aside from school, Matthew enjoys running, photography, hanging out with friends, and boba.

Antonio is a 4th-year general civil engineering student and is currently serving as the Internal Project Manager for the Cal Poly Pomona Concrete Canoe Team. He previously served as the Mix Design Captain and has been involved in the program for three years. Antonio is interested in project management and is currently spending his summer as a civil engineering intern at Sully Miller Contracting. In his free time, Antonio enjoys traveling, hiking, and has developed an interest in the stock market.

CJ is a fifth-year environmental civil engineering student and this is her first year as an officer serving as the External Project Manager for the Cal Poly Pomona Concrete Canoe Team. She was previously involved with the GeoWall Competition Team as the Fundraising Captain and Aesthetics Captain. CJ has also served The California Geotechnical Engineering Association (CalGeo) as last year’s Vice President, External and this year’s President. She is interested in pursuing a career in water resources or geotechnical engineering and was previously a student engineer for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) where she worked in Northern Aqueduct Operations. Josue is a third-year general civil engineering student and is serving as this year’s Steel Bridge Project Manager. This will be his second year as an officer, previously serving as Student Representative. He was also a part of the Steel Bridge construction team his first year and competed in the 2018-2019 Pacific Southwest Conference (PSWC) at San Luis Obispo. Josue is currently a civil engineering intern working in Land Development at CASC Engineering and Consulting. Josue is interested in pursuing a career in structural engineering or as a designer in land development and eventually hopes to become a Project Manager. In his free time, Josue enjoys exercising, hikes, going to the beach, spending time with friends/family/pets, and staying in to watch Netflix. He is also very passionate about what he does and hopes to inspire others to pursue their dreams.

Seema C. Shah-Fairbank is an assistant professor in Water Resources at Cal Poly Pomona. She teaches courses in hydrology, hydraulics, and environmental engineering. Seema is currently serving as the student section advisor for the American Societies of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Her specialization is in sediment transport and river mechanics. During her free time, Dr. Fairbank loves to paint, hike, and volunteer in her community.

Kenneth Lamb is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at Cal Poly Pomona. Prior to his academic career, he was a Supervising Designer in the water/wastewater division at G.C. Wallace Inc. in Las Vegas, NV. During his graduate work Kenneth researched methods for improving water supply forecasts for the Colorado River Basin. Kenneth is a licensed Civil Engineer in the State of Nevada. He holds a B.S. and Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Nevada Las Vegas as well as a Masters of Civil Engineering from Norwich University.

Professor Ng is a Professional Practice Professor at Cal Poly Pomona specializing in Geospatial Engineering. He holds his BSCE from Cal Poly Pomona and MSCE from Perdue University. Professor Ng is a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in the State of California and is actively involved with the California Land Surveyors Association. His research interests are in Laser Scanning Models Integration with Building Information System and UAV Applications in Engineering.
