SEEMA C. SHAH-FAIRBANK
Faculty Advisor
Seema C. Shah-Fairbank is an assistant professor in Water Resources at Cal Poly Pomona. She teaches courses in hydrology, hydraulics and environmental engineering. Seema is currently serving as the student section advisor for the American Societies of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Her specialization is in sediment transport and river mechanics. During her free time, Dr. Fairbank loves to paint, hike and volunteer in her community.
ALLAN NG
Faculty Advisor
Allan Ng is an essential part of the team, and has been with American Society of Civil Engineers since the very beginning. As our Manager, they’ve worked with and helped countless customers to ensure complete satisfaction.
KENNETH LAMB
Faculty Advisor
Kenneth Lamb is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at Cal Poly Pomona.  Prior to his academic career, he was a Supervising Designer in the water/wastewater division at G.C. Wallace Inc. in Las Vegas, NV.  During his graduate work Kenneth researched methods for improving water supply forecasts for the Colorado River Basin. Kenneth is a licensed Civil Engineer in the State of Nevada.  He holds a B.S. and Ph.D in Engineering from the University of Nevada Las Vegas as well as a Masters of Civil Engineering from Norwich University.

MATTHEW JACOBSON
President
Matthew is a third-year civil engineering student and is very excited to be serving as this year's president. He has previously served as Alumni Relations Chair and Events Chair organizing various annual alumni and social events including the Golf Tournament, Mammoth Trip, and Department Banquet. This year he hopes to unify all the department clubs to enhance the student experience at Cal Poly Pomona. This past summer he interned at Kimley-Horn and Associates in their Developmental Services Team. In addition to ASCE, Matthew is involved with Chi Epsilon and the Institute of Transportation Engineers. Aside from school, Matthew enjoys running, photography, hanging out with friends, and boba.
COLBY WONG
Vice President, Internal
Colby is a third-year general civil engineering student and is serving as this year's Vice President Internal. This will be her third year as an officer, having previously served as one of the First-Year Representatives and one of the Outreach and Community Service Chairs. She is also an active member of the California Water Environment Association - American Water Works Association (CWEA-AWWA) and Chi Epsilon Honor Society. Colby is currently a civil engineering intern for Southern California Edison (SCE) and plans to pursue a career in structural engineering. When Colby is not working on anything related to school, work, or ASCE, she loves to dance, bake, and spend time with her loved ones.
VALERIE SARMIENTO
Vice President, External
Valerie is a third-year general civil engineering student who is honored to take on the position of this year's Vice President External. She previously served as ASCE's Professional Events Chair and First-Year Representative, as well as Concrete Canoe's Treasurer. She also participated in the Membership Development Committee for the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. This past summer, she interned for the Consulting Engineers Group as a structural intern. In her free time, Valerie loves going to museums and local concerts and spending time with family. She is excited to continue her participation in ASCE and looks forward to accomplishing new things this academic year.
