SEEMA C. SHAH-FAIRBANK
Faculty Advisor
Seema C. Shah-Fairbank is an assistant professor in Water Resources at Cal Poly Pomona. She teaches courses in hydrology, hydraulics and environmental engineering. Seema is currently serving as the student section advisor for the American Societies of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Her specialization is in sediment transport and river mechanics. During her free time, Dr. Fairbank loves to paint, hike and volunteer in her community.
ALLAN NG
Faculty Advisor
Allan Ng is an essential part of the team, and has been with American Society of Civil Engineers since the very beginning. As our Manager, they’ve worked with and helped countless customers to ensure complete satisfaction.
KENNETH LAMB
Faculty Advisor
Kenneth Lamb is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at Cal Poly Pomona.  Prior to his academic career, he was a Supervising Designer in the water/wastewater division at G.C. Wallace Inc. in Las Vegas, NV.  During his graduate work Kenneth researched methods for improving water supply forecasts for the Colorado River Basin. Kenneth is a licensed Civil Engineer in the State of Nevada.  He holds a B.S. and Ph.D in Engineering from the University of Nevada Las Vegas as well as a Masters of Civil Engineering from Norwich University.

Kristina is a fourth-year civil engineering student and is very excited to be serving as this year’s President. This will be her fourth and final year as an officer, having previously held the positions of Freshmen Representative, Co-Events Chair, and Vice President Internal. Kristina plans to pursue a career in construction and has signed-on as a Field Engineer with Turner Construction post graduation. When she isn’t attending ASCE events, Kristina enjoys reading, yoga, hiking, and attending Trivia Night at Brew Works with her friends.

Genelle Paderanga is a fourth-year general civil engineering major and previously served as Secretary and Publicity Chair. She wishes to pursue a career in transportation engineering and is currently and Engineering Intern at KOA Corporation in Monterey Park. Genelle enjoys watching tennis and basketball, trying out new coffee spots, and going to her favorite grocery store, Trader Joe’s.

Breanna is a third-year general civil engineering student. She will be serving as this year’s Vice President, External. This summer she interned at Kimley Horn as a Roadway Intern working on various municipal projects. She is also the Logistics Captain for Cal Poly Pomona’s Steel Bridge team and Kellogg Honors College student. Breanna is looking forward to this year’s events including Order of the    Engineer and Mentorship.

Jasmin is a fourth-year civil engineering student and plans to graduate this spring. Jasmin previously served as ASCE’s Outreach & Community service chair and is excited to serve as this year’s treasurer. She is also an active member in the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and Chi Epsilon Honors Society. Jasmin is currently an engineering intern for the City of San Dimas and plans to pursue a career in either Construction Management or Land Development. When she is not studying and participating in engineering events, Jasmin enjoys baking, visiting her family and playing volleyball.

Breggie is a fourth-year general civil engineering student and is serving as this year’s secretary. Last year, she served as publicity chair and is excited to be returning as an ASCE officer for her final year at CPP. She currently works as a civil engineering intern for KPFF and plans to pursue a career in land development. In addition to ASCE, she is also involved with other clubs like Concrete Canoe and Chi Epsilon. In her free time, she enjoys photography, art, and spending time with friends. She looks forward to meeting new people, as well as seeing returning members in ASCE.

Megan is a third-year civil engineering student in the general option.  She is excited to be serving as this year’s Membership Chair. This is her first year as an officer, but has been a member of ASCE since her first-year.  Megan has been involved in other civil engineering groups and clubs, which has allowed her to love and expand her knowledge on field. Her goal this year is to encourage civil engineering students to join ASCE and for them to become familiar with one another.  When Megan is not at school or studying, she enjoys eating, doing her makeup, going to Disneyland, and spending time with friends and family.

Valerie is a second-year general civil engineering student who is honored to take on the position as this years Professional Events Chair. Previously she served as ASCE’s First-Year Representative Position and participated in the Membership Development Committee for the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. Along with her position with ASCE, she is also this years Concrete Canoe Treasurer. In her free time, Valerie loves to go to museums, spend time with family, and go to local concerts. She is excited to be continuing her participation in ASCE and looks forward to what will be accomplished this academic year.

He wishes to pursue a career in transportation engineering and is currently interning at Parsons as a road and highway intern. Colby is a second-year civil engineering student with an environmental emphasis. She will be serving as one of this year’s Outreach and Community Service Chairs. This will be her second year as an officer, having previously served as one of the First-Year Representatives. Colby is also involved with the California Water Environment Association - American Water Works Association and has been a member for two years. When Colby is not working on anything ASCE related, she loves to dance, bake, eat, and spend time with her loved ones.

Nicole is a second-year civil engineering student in the general option. She will be serving as one of this year’s Outreach and Community Service Chairs. This will be her first year as an officer, but has been involved with ASCE in the past. As a freshman, Nicole took part in various outreach events, sparking her interest to be more involved with this club. Her goal this year is to teach younger students in her community about civil engineering and inspire them to pursue it as a career. During her free time, Nicole enjoys trying new foods, finding new music, and spontaneous adventures.

Casey is a second-year civil engineering student and is excited to be serving as this year’s Publicity Chair. This will be her first year as an officer, and plans on pursuing other positions in the future. Casey currently serves as VP of Finance in Phi Sigma Rho, a social sorority for engineers, and has been a member for two years. She is currently interning with an aerospace engineering consulting company, and wishes to intern with LADWP in the future. During her free time, she loves to go to Disneyland, go on food adventures, binge watch Netflix, photoshopping, and hanging out with friends.

Leona is a fourth-year general civil engineering student and is one of this year’s co-conference chairs. She is excited to be spending her last year as a first-time ASCE officer. Her main goal as our Conference Chair is to improve Cal Poly Pomona’s standing in the PSWC competition. In addition to ASCE, Leona is also the president Chi Epsilon Honors Society and is involved with Kellogg’s Honors College and the International Center through Study Abroad. In her free time, Leona enjoys spending time with friends, watching movies and TV shows, reading, playing tennis, and hiking. She is looking forward to the upcoming school year and hopes to encourage people to become involved.

Jerome is a fourth-year general civil engineering student and is one of this year’s co-conference chairs.  He hopes to place within top three overall at PSWC, and hopefully beat last year’s standing. In addition to ASCE, Jerome is also involved with Chi Epsilon, Institute of Transportation Engineers, and Structural Engineering Association of CPP (SEACPP). Currently, Jerome works as an intern at Willdan and plans to pursue a career in transportation, although he is also interested in structural design and water.  In his free time, he loves spending time with friends, working out and being active, going to music festivals, and singing.

Matthew is a second-year civil engineering student and is very excited to be serving as one of this year’s Alumni Relations Chairs. Last year he worked as Events Chair organizing ASCE social events such as Mammoth and the CE Department Banquet. This past summer he interned at Hick’s and Hardwick Engineers and Surveyors working on land development projects across the Inland Empire. In addition to ASCE, Matthew is involved with Chi Epsilon and the Institute of Transportation Engineers on campus. Aside from school, Matthew enjoys running, listening music, photography and adventuring with friends.

Paul is a fourth-year general civil engineering student and is one of this year's alumni relations co-chairs. During his third year, he decided to take on board positions as the treasurer for SEACPP and the mix design captain for concrete canoe. In his junior year, he also joined the Chi Epsilon Honor society and the Tau Beta Pi Honor society on campus. He plans to pursue a PhD and teach engineering as it has always been his passion to help others when they have a difficult time understanding something. He hopes to help all new members in ASCE find a place where they belong and organize events that help students build on their skills of communicating with professionals.

Allan is a fourth-year civil engineering student and is this year’s Project Manager for the Cal Poly Pomona Concrete Canoe Team. He previously served as canoe’s fundraising captain and hull design captain. Allan’s main goal for the Concrete Canoe team is to win 1st at PSWC. In addition to Concrete Canoe, Allan interned at Pankow Builders over summer and was on site for a new medical office building in Baldwin Park. He plans to continue his education by pursuing a master’s degree in Structural Engineering. Outside of Cal Poly Pomona, Allan enjoys watching sports, especially baseball and boxing, hiking and relaxing at the beach.

Delaney is a third-year general civil engineering student looking towards a structural emphasis. This year will be her first on the board of ASCE as Cal Poly Pomona’s Steel Bridge Project Manager. Last year she was one of the fabrication captains for the Steel Bridge team and since her freshman year she has been a member. Her goal this year is to encourage  students to become more hands on in their studies and to continue improving the team for the regional and national competitions. When Delaney is not working on ASCE or Steel Bridge related things, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, getting coffee and food, and going to new places.

He transferred from Cypress Community College and is entering his first year as an officer. Bryan is also a member of the Steel Bridge club as well as CEMA. He hopes to connect with other first year students who might feel alone and make them feel like they have a club they belong in. This summer she participated in the WTS-OC Transportation Academy, touring a total of thirteen public and private agencies within the transportation field. Maryn is considering a career in traffic and roadway design. She is very excited for what’s to come within the next year!
